Since LOTR sold out completely me and a few of my mates decided to go to the boxing day movie marathon at Indro, that just happened to have two movies I wanted to see. (LOTR and The Score). Bought our $19 tickets, early, got our blue wristbands (QGL anyone?), then came back laster at about 9:30pm (It started at 10:30pm). Sure enough, the marathon was sold out, and there were s***loads of 14-19 yr olds there (mostly 15-17yr olds in little groups) all milling around. Security guards looking important searched bags and barked us into "orderly" lines.

Eventually we got in, got decent seats. The previews started, and the talking didn't stop. The movie (LOTR was up first) started, and the talking didn't stop. For the 5 hours, all that was heard were 4 or 5 little groups of idiotic teens chatting away, or people yelling out s***, or laughing for no reason, or even CLAPPING at scenes. This then of course started up other people to scream "SHUT THE f*** UP!" at the top of their lungs which in then turned other people to laugh and yell back stupid s***. The whole movie was spoilt - you could not enjoy any of it because nearly every scene was covered up by talking, yelling, and every other thing that idiots can do to f*** up a fantastic (and it WAS fantastic) movie experience for everyone else in the theatre.

For f***s sake, when you go to a movie, have some consideration for others!

I didn't know it was that bad because I hadn't been before (for that suspected reason). It seemed like a good deal, and movie marathon or not people should still shut up when a movie is on.

BACK on topic, I went to a movie marathon last night with a friend, and saw 4 movies for $15.

I hadnt seen any of the movies but really enjoyed them, and didnt have any trouble with teenages at all except for one little incident which after a few words ended very quickly.

This was at AMC Cinemas at stafford cinima btw, and overall, was a really good night.
Not all movie marathons are s***, and what did you expect, its indroopilly ffs

-Eds-: Nothing's wrong with Indro - Its probably more the teenagers who come from the various (and numerous)highschools littered around the areas.

When I went to those movie marathon at sunshine plaza It wasnt so bad, but then again when I went I was one of those teens in a small group of abuot 6-7. First movie was ok, 2nd was ok, 3rd sucked so I selpt through it, and 4th I was too sleepy to pay much attention.

Stop hanging out in the fire escape then moron. I work there, I go there nearly every second day to work or shop - Its FINE, more centralised and better then most places on the north or southsides. The only morons that I see at the ones that hang out near the back entrace to the food court. They are only like 15 and are harmless - they probably rag you because you look obviously timid.

BTW - Its $6 for UQ students only at the megaplex cinemas. Plebs in High School, TAFE or QUT/Griffith are outta luck there.
