It's not a new game, it's a new movie that bears no resemblance to the first one. The trailer's just come out, in HD.

You can find the smaller ones via the official site.

Mind blown.

yeah looks better than the first although I remember myself saying the first looked great and was slightly disappointed.

Well it looks like more carnage which is a good thing.

All I saw was a black blur. I mean, don't get me wrong, it was in high-def, so it was a great black blur.

Haha, I can't help but think that this trailer was a massive middle finger to the critics of the first one, that it was PG.

Hence the "red" Restrictive trailer.

Bit silly tho - if you see a lot of deaths in the trailer, it removes the suspense from the film since you know who's gonna get offed.

At least there appears to be a bit of spirit in this one - much like the original comic book. (tho that one was set on another planet in the future)

It's good to see the predators killing humans instead of being allies with them!

Earlier tonight hand model said this movie made him happy in the pants... that's more information than I really needed to know.

You and hand model need to get over it, or each other for that matter. That or give him his hand job that he is so desperately craving from you.

Notice that this one is called "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem", whereas the first one was called "Alien vs. Predator". Checking the IMDB page, it looks like this is the spiritual sequel to AVP. Although I don't mind a spot of the the ol' B-Grade alien movie, this franchise is really good enough to be A-grade.

N-Dude... I feel dumber for reading your post.

But that preview looked f***ing sick. Even if it's not scary or the movie is crap, I'll be happy seeing aliens carve up the humans...

A quick look on IMDB shows that the co-directors have some pretty impressive experience.

I dont trust trailers...

1. No-name ex music video directors
2. No-name actors
3. Doesnt follow the original Dark Horse AVP comic book storyline.

Just slopping Humans, Predators and Aliens into a trailer doesnt convince me.

Meh! Watching the trailer, I'd say you've just seen the best of the movie. It all went massively down hill for me when I saw that chick hop onto the back of whatever and start tearing s*** up with the 40cal....whatever. I'm going to pre-judge this movie as a 1/10 piece of s***.

God damnit. Why the f*** do they have to keep watering down these two franchises with s***ty sequels. Aliens 3 and 4 should have never been made, let alone these f***ing awful comic book cashins.

Rerelease aliens with a similar treatment to the star wars rereleases please!

unless you have read the full alien and preditor comic series and every half clash please dont try and comment on what should and shouldnt be made. they happen to be two of the best comic series i've ever had the fortune of reading. followed closely by 2000ad's judge dread...

You're right... cinema enthusiasts should have no input into what gets made:O

my point is, there was so much content, so much amazing insainly intense and beleivable storyline that synergised between both comic series that unless you have read them, you can't comment on what they might be doing with a movie...

if they follow any of the comics at all, it will be amazing and intense and very rewarding as a viewer.

I don't see why people can't speculate what a movie should be like just because they haven't read a comic book that is based off the original movies... Aliens, for example, was not based off a comic and it was f***ing awesome.

In my opinion Aliens 3 and Alien: Resurrection were welcome additions to the franchise. Considering Alien was made in 1979 I think the movies that followed were very much in keeping with original, merely expanding on the universe created in the first two. I liked the fact that they explored the mytholgy a bit more too.

I will agree that Predator 2 was pretty ordinary. AVP was far less impressive and sacrificed plot and character depth for fancy special effects and over the top pathos eg the Predator/human alliance. I was disappointed by this movie I must admit.
However, I don't care. I will still look forward to this one with the hope that I can add another great DVD to my collection and some more cool toys to my wall, even though at this stage it doesn't look too heavy on moody atmosphere and brooding, dark characters.
