Found a neat little Firefox addon today. I'm not sure how old it is, but I figured that there'd be someone on here who'd appreciate it.
http://www.getgspace.com/ It's an addon called GSpace. It basically adds a sort of FTP client to Firefox, but it uploads everything to a specified Gmail account. It even lets you create directories and all that jazz. Only limitation I've come across so far is that it's limited to files no bigger than 20MB (Gmail's attachment size limit). Only got it today, so I haven't had much time to fiddle with it, just thought I'd throw it up here for others to try out. I made a new account to test it out with, just because I didn't want to make my inbox look too messy, but then I realise that I can just make a filter that automatically archives the files anyway, so it wasn't an issue. |

does it 'have to' send up to GMail?
can you send to your own mail server @ home instead? |

Just Gmail I think, though I haven't played around with it long enough to know for sure.
And yeah, 20MB is pretty small, but that would quite easily fit most music files, photos, etc. But hey, it's free, so it's not gonna be perfect. |

Since 2004 I have been using Gmail Drive, but really haven't used it much (at all) since USB flash drives started coming out it 4gig +.
http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm It maps Gmail to a drive letter. |

I kinda recall that when this first came out (pretty much when Gmail first came out) they couldn't guarantee that any uploaded files would be there forever... if you know what I mean.
