We have wireless internet, but with one laptop i have i can not get it to connect to the net. The netgear program shows it is connected to the optus net, and the card lights up to say the connection is good and connected. But when i open the internet explorer it does not work?

Do an ipconfig, make sure you have a proper ip address. If it is connecting but not gettng an Ip address, check to make sure the wep key is correct then make sure the ip isn't being assigned manually.
Also if the IP is fine. Make sure you haven't got proxies set up on the laptop. last edited by shad at 19:07:28 19/Aug/07 |

f***off the s***egear wireless management program and just use the default windows manager. I have had stupid issues with the netgear personally and the windows manager works flawlessly.
If it removes the drivers in the uninstall, just use device manager and manually point it to the driver cd. That way the faggy management software will not infest your PC. |
