I've found my BP usage is counting the free sites (files.bigpond.com & GA) as usage and after going through Bigpond support they can't find anything wrong and therefore expect me to cough up the cost of the excess data as I'm not on a capped plan. Is anyone elses usage meter showing signs of counting free traffic?

I downloaded about 8Gb of free stuff last month and 2Gb yesterday it didn't register as free content in the usage meter, ie: no yellow bar.

Are you sure your not routing your internet through somewhere else thus making it look like its not free content? A proxy or something?

Nah that's not the case, it's going direct to the BP sites. I use the free sites quite a bit and there's been no free usage recorded for the past 6 weeks, so something is screwed.

I thought this happened quite a lot? There were lots of stories about people getting everything counted from GA and being capped and the Support guys would just give you an extra 2-3gb of usage for that month. Not sure what happens if you aren't on a "Unlimited" plan though.
