There were some promo girls at uni last week trying to get me to buy tickets... I said, but last year it was absolute chaos and took as an hour to get a drink and we got split up from mates and couldn't find each other.

She replied, "This year there are only going to be a set amount of tickets sold, 4 times as many bars and heaps more toilets."

I was like, "Interesting!" trying to hide my sarcasm. Just because there are limited tickets it doesn't mean it still won't be over crowded as f*** and stupidly expensive. The result: mates and I are planning our own Ekka Race Day as far away from the races as possible.

might rock out after the races, dunno if i can be f***ed going to buy some threads and s***.

got awfully drunk at a mate's place off racecourse road.
so glad I decided not go into the races, looked like a s***fest

um it was actually quite an awesome day they did it really f***ing well this year, no wait to get in cause everyone had their tickets, they had tents up f***ing everywhere to buy drinks you couldn't go anywhere without being within stumbling range of a drinks tent

and the rain kept some people away, which made it really good
