Also, that chicky babe Brianna that got thru first comes in to work. One of the nicest people you'd ever meet plus she's one talented motherf***er when it comes to writing her own music and playing instruments. Normally I hate Idol but I hope she does well.

These singer/songwriter people on the show are sooo boring!

Every single person fits into the same lame cookie cutter acoustic mould.

That guy that brang along his guitarist though and belted out that "fear" song, he had a pretty brutal voice. Same with the first chick with the red stockings, sounded pretty good.

I can't stand to watch the first two weeks worth of Idol purely because I have to cringe at the even moderately bad ones.

But I haven't watched Idol for a long time anyway. Really the only two that I thought were worth signing and were improving well enough were Emilia Rusciano (Series 1?) and Cassie LeBeau (American Idol 2(?)). The talent pool is getting thinner with each season.

If you made the top 40, you're ineligible to enter for future seasons.
For American Idol, it's only if you make the top 12 that you're ineligible.

Thought about it pretty seriously the past couple of years... I don't rate myself to get anywhere in the comp though, and even if I did I would be pretty pigeon-holed into a genre I'm not overly keen on.

well, at least you can sing already, that probably puts you in front of 95% of the people that turn up to try out

What amazes me is that half these looney f***s that try out and fail honestly think they are good singers, they must have some s***house friends who haven't shut them down yet.
If I had a mate who was a s*** singer I'd tell him/her unless they just wanted 15seconds of tv time.

only good part of aussie idol is the first few eps when the bag out the retards. even then i still won't watch it.

In that case Billy you owe me 45mins of watching the Brisbane auditions on TV the other night to see if you went. Nothing like 6 degrees from fame.
