He always tells me the most awesome stories.

He's in Iraq at the moment, comes back in 2 months, goes straight to East Timor, comes back in a few months, then straight to Afganistan... they definetely work them.

Dangerous, too. Them and the SAS are pretty much the only Australian's overseas in direct combat roles.

He did a lot of VIP protections roles during the main Iraq conflict.

He used to do convoy's for engineers./politicans and such, 3 cars.

Middle car was VIP's, he was in the front/back cars. They would do 160km/hr through the main city streets of Baghdad... he said if there's a women or child on the road, they just run them over/wrap them into a pole, if they slowed down they were targets for RPG's and bombs... they don't slow down for anything, not even crowds. If a car approaches them (at 160km/hr mind you, so very suss), they give it about 5 seconds, few warning shots into the front grill, then they just knock it out with a rocket launcher, no messing around.
