peoples pets get out all the time, though there is the possibility the little guy hitched a ride into town.
googling led me to www.aussiepythons.com , who had some helpful info and govt phone numbers to ring, though all I came up with were phone machines recommending that I ring in normal biz hours. those guys are open in ~12 hours. they have a listing of people who have licenses to keep snakes, so they're my best bet. I'd sooner have someone come and take the little guy right now though |

I wouldn't mind a snake as a pet, would probably kill the cat though.

Not small, but more-so, regular. I don't notice I breathe most of the time. Same goes with you're mum I'm guessing

There's a new craze on the internet that involves jokes about someones Mum.
Like: "Hey man, my dick's in your Mum's mouth!" I don't know how anyone could retort to such a well crafted and original statement. I think this craze is going to be around for a while. |

Back to the snakes - my next door neighbour came over last Thursday night to let us know they had a > 2m carpet snake making itself comfortable out the front of their house. As they are harmless and do good things like eat rats and mice they were going to leave it there and let it run it's course.
Well the next day my dad had to pickup some stuff from my place while I was at work and while he was there the snake moved across into our front garden. A f***wit neighbour (everyone has them) came home, saw it and immediately screamed "Kill it Kill it", ran down the road and got another f***wit neighbour who came back with a shovel and wanted to chop it's head off.. luckily after living in Mt Isa for so long you pickup a few things about snakes so the old boy kept them at bay and showed them how harmless the snake was. I find it fairly appaling that someone would want to kill another creature (harmless in this case) just because they felt uncomfortable with it. |
