Few reasons, cause the halfcut was a bargain and I didn't want to stuff around to much when I did the conversion. 2JZ was out of the question, way to hard to do at home and way to expensive for the gains. I nearly bought a 1j hallfcut with 600hp but someone else put a deposit on it before I did.

I dont mind the 7M, its a good motor and has 500cc on the 1j. 7m's in general are f***ed from the word go but I did my research and made sure I got a good one. Havent had a problem with it since I put it in, going on 4 months.

yeah its not very good at holding sideways at low speeds but anytihng over 60k~ it holds pretty well and thats with stock suspension. Getting it off balance is the key though to avoid understeer.

The torque is fantastic once its at full boost, even off boost its ok for a 3.0L, really puts you in the seat in 3rd, traction is just the issue.

What diff what you got in your car dude? and what are some of the mods you have done?

they are not bad except for the headgasket issue

MHG and ARP bolts ftw! :D. Isn't there a white r33 getting around with a 7mgte that runs 10's??

hehe pete just say the word and ill light some candles.

eighty-eight you should come out to QR for a Friday night drift practice. Bring you beast out onto the skid pan. Trust me it’s the best fun youll ever have! And youll have to take me for a spin. I have a huge list of mods. Ive spent all my money on suspension and getting it set up rite. Now I need more power!

I have the stock lsd in my car. Its viscous but ive shimmed it up which makes it very tight! Stuff trying to drift an open wheeler. Thats like trying to drift fwd.

My mate zac on the pan last Friday

and im just joking about r33's there are some sweet ones getting around. but i would probably never own one!

yea i was at qr last friday.. pretty cold that night. i was in the purple widebody S13 with the gtr running gear, buckled the front wheels that night, and had no front spares... so it was f***ed handling but still had good fun.
