still 1-0 to oman. 10mins to go.

spoiler:
AUSTRALIA ARE f***ING s***. and viduka should retire. the omani's are too quick and too creative for the boring, predictable australians who have so far struggled with basic skills like first controlling touches.

who said history never repeats. it didnt, but close.

Cahill just stole an equaliser in time added on.

FULL TIME - 1-1

Australia got out of jail. Schwarzter saved our ass 3 or 4 times in the 2nd half. Australia played like ass, and we won't get far unless we improve a lot!

I'm not really a soccer fan in general but i like to watch the aussies play. I'm always impressed with some of the skills in the game of soccer.. That is until i saw the f***ing oman guy fall and have to get carried off the field when the replay showed he never got touched, then i remember why i don't watch soccer.

yea they were pretty shocking. what was it, about 4 or 5 guys stretchered off the field for oman? what a joke.

And yea, the aussies need work to do well in this tourney.

They were fast as s***! The Aussies kept doing slow passes and the Omani's would hang back a couple yards off them, then just swoop in. They were all over us in terms of speed.

Pity the Omanis had to have all those guys carried off. Laughable, though that's what I reckon should happen - if they're on the ground for longer than 10 seconds they should be carried off immediately so play can resume.

s*** game.

The Aussies need to learn to milk more penalties. I'm expecting a "lol diving italians" comment or 2, but its the physics of the game. Even with the anti-diving rule, those omanis got so many more penalties.

Thats how FIFA are combatting diving.

As Casa said, Australia do need to milk more free kicks. It will slow down play for them, since its so hot over there, plus the obvious chance of scoring when the free kicks are close to the goals.

That being said, its not the way the game should be player, but its a case of "if you can't beat them, join them".

I don't think you understand... milking penalties from diving has been in the game before Australia was even a nation. It might as well be a rule.

its pretty funny when you get good acting though. The indonesia v bahrain game one of the bahranis went down holding his face and having convulsions after the ball was kicked into his stomach. Aside from the diving it was a cracking game though.
