So who has one?
What are you favourite games?

I have had one for a while and when I got Animal Crossing I played that none stop but got bored.
Then I moved onto Tetris DS and have been playing that none stop.
Until the weekend when I got Puzzle Quest and haven't been able to put it down :p - Anyone know if this can be played over the ninterweb with other DS users? (wifi)?

Beats WoW (not that I have ever played it)

So, fellow DS's go!

I love my DS. At the moment I'm playing through the second Phoenix Wright game - very amusing :)
Puzzle Quest was kinda cool, but I did get bored of it pretty quickly.
I really enjoyed Mario and Luigi : Partners in time and the New Super Mario Brothers.

I have heard Advanced Wars is f***ing awesome for GBA and I believe there's a DS version? I am getting back into strategy games and the idea of a decent handheld strategy game sounds cool. I played a bit of AW (for like 5 mins) but couldn't get my head around it, anyone else tried it?

I've got Advance Wars for the DS. Awesome game, it is better then the GBA version, which is great.
I play that alot, specially on train trips. Easy to save mid battle so you play for 10-15 mins and put it away.

I'm really wanting a decent RPG for it. Children of Mana is heading that way, I'm thinking of getting Final Fantasy 3.

Some good titles coming up soon too - the remake of Impossible Mission is due real soon & there's always Zelda DS too (but not until xmas.. booo).. Or you could get yourself a supercard/flashcard or similar & stick SCUMMVM for the DS on it.

Portable Monkey Island 1 & 2, DOTT, Sam & Max etc. Need I say more?

QFT. Are we ever gonna get it in Australia?

I got Elite Beat Agents on my DS and have been playing that a bit lately, its pretty crazy fun. Any game where a team of secret agents (including the token black guy with the killer afro) can go inside someone's immune system and fight off their cold by dancing, is my kind of crazy. I hear the last mission, you save the world from being hit by an asteroid, by dancing. Believe me when I say, I cannot wait.

I've been thinking about getting a DS for a long time, for the small to and fro trips on the train to University.

Two questions, 1) Is it durable? Will it handle being in a bag getting bashed around by heavy textbooks? 2)Is there any good games (besides Mario Kart) that would be enjoyable for a 20 minute train trip, just pick up and go type games?

most games on the DS are for casual gamers - just like that.

also, while we are on this subject - i am selling a MicroNinja Flash card. takes micro SD. PM me if you're interested.

I loved my GBA for Uni, You copped a few sideway glances on the bus but it kept me entertained at least. These days however I have a ~10min drive to work and at home I'd rather play on computer/console on Bigger screens.

I do do big camping trips, but 99% of the time i'm driving and when stopped a Good Fire + Conversation is usually better then a game.

Wish I was still at uni >.>

Both Castlevania games (Dawn of Sorrow & Portrait of Ruin)
Mario Kart
Mario 64 DS
Warioware
Advance Wars DS
New Super Mario Bros
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (If you enjoy RPG lite type titles)
Meteos
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Puzzle Quest

are a few kickass titles that come to mind... Some stuff that's going to be hit & miss depending on what games you like:

Star Fox command
Tony Hawk Sk8erland
Impossible Mission
Konami Arcade Classics (compilation with Contra, Gradius, Rushin' Attack & a few other classic konami games)
Final Fantasy 3
Children of Mana
Trauma Centre
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (If you enjoy point & click type adventure games)
Star Wars Episode 3 (hey, I enjoyed it.. it's a fun little side scrolling beat'em up with Lightsabers)
Final Fantasy: Chocobo Tales
Elite Beat Agents (If you like music/rythmn games)

to name a couple... There's plenty of titles out there, the downside is having to filter the crap out to find the winners.

Oh - and if you get yourself a Flash Cart, then I fully recommend getting scummvm for it.. as I said above, playing Lucasart adventure games with a touch screen = win.

my most highly recommended DS game - other than chocobo tales is (if you're into RPGs) is Magical Starsign. It has to be the most underrated game on the system.

O O O, I need to change my pants.

The possibility of Bioware making RPG's for the DS is enough.

Excuse me, I need to be alone..

I'd STRONGLY recommend Final Fantasy III. It's a brilliant remake that stays true to the original while still managing to add more depth and charm. It really is a must-have game.

I'd recommend that just about anybody get a flash card. You can grab an R4 and a 1gb SDmicro for about $60 all up, and play all the homebrew and overseas (warez is bad lawl) games you want. You can buy kits with 8gb of built in memory for about $50 too. There's some excellent homebrew out there for DS at the moment, including games, media players, chat clients, emulators and more. Flashcards will also let you play the games that don't get released here (f*** you, Nintendo) or try games before you buy them.

Also, Khel's right about Elite Beat Agents. I played the Japanese version (Ossu! Tatakae Oendan! iirc) and you win the game by dancing to save the world from a giant asteroid. It's a pretty fun, funny game but the novelty wears pretty thin, it's just like DDR ona a DS screen.

you mean gb as in gigabits, not gigabytes which is misleading.

Ah, so it is. Advertising it as 8gbit is kinda dodgy : /

Taiko No Tatsujin seems like a pretty fun game. i may import this. those who've never heard of it, think ddr only with drums. they even give you 2 syli (i dont know the plural for that so ill just make one) drumsticks to use. apparantly its incredibly hard too

final fantasy 3 is pretty good.

elite beat agent is just roffle tastic.

sonic rush is the f***ing s*** for old school sonic fun with a new flavour,

hotel dusk room 215 is pretty cool and different still havent gotten into it far enough to get overly excited, but enough to be interested.

pokemon pearl is over-rated by stupid kids thinking that bringing up old s*** games they played at highschool is cool.

I love DS, but I wish Loco Roco came out for it. Sadly it's not worth buying a PSP just for loco roco. I loved that game. In ways that I man should never love a machine.

Because it ruins the machine.

...

I stuck my pee-pee in the dataport.
