Have been running a demo account and was surprised to see that i made US$4500 in one week and earlier today US$914 in 30-40 minutes...

its risk/reward i guess. only use money u can afford to lose. forex can be very fickle.

I trade on the ASX (with real money) and I've made nearly 10k this week WOOT!
If you are considering doing short term trades I recommend "Market Pro trader 4"

Oh and i've tried trading in the American SX and even tho my stocks gain money because of the rising Aussie $$ and the weak $US I ended up losing money.

I reckon ur crazy to trade with anything other than Aussie stocks atm.

You can order a demo CD but usually you need to do a course just to be shown how to read the charts. Once you know how to read the charts it's easy as using this program. It basically tells you the turning points before they happen based on carefully constructed math like volume, price, history buys wanted and sells etc.

It doesn't work unless you deposit $900 to me first.

Please note that since February 2004, when measured against gold prices, the Dow Jones has actually been falling in value, despite it cracking new records almost daily.

This is due to the super inflation and liquidity in the US at the moment. The $US slowly becomes worthless (US debt is $9 trillion, can anyone comprehend this umber??) and the entire Australian economy is linked to this. If anything I would be going long on the $A at the moment for the next 12 months at least.

Anywho I personally am a fundamentals trader myself so I don't really care for charts. I tried short term and I couldn't really pull it off so I just started researching stocks. If anyone else is into some fundamental stocks I heres a few I would recommend. the ones I have really had a win with this week are

LNC - Linc Energy
CXY - Cougar Energy
QGC - Queensland Gas Company
MPO - Molopo

Some other good ones are
Arrow Energy
