2K Games have shot threw a new trailer from The Darkness (no, unfortunately it's not the video game based off the awesome UK rock band), showing off the Demon Arm power from the main character from this upcoming Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 title. Download locally from AusGamers.

This game was made by Vin Diesel's studio, who made Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (One of the best SP games in existence).

It looked awesome judging by the preview they had at Supanova.

It's now $10 at JB-HiFi. Go and pick it up. Honestly it'll be the second-best $10 you've ever spent (next to a weekend with Strex's mum).

Hmm, that game looks pretty s*** actually. Apart from the gimmicky tentacles you use to lash out and kill stuff it looks like every other FPS.

Its got a lot more than just tentacles Rev, anywhere theres a shadow, you can summon a shadow demon (they have some kind of proper name in the game but I can't remember it), and they'll fight as your minions, and pick up stuff in the environment and use it as weapons and kill people in all sorts of interesting gruesome ways. Because the game is all about, well, darkness, the lighting is pretty dynamic too. No shadows nearby to summon your army of shadow demons? Shoot out some lights and make some shadows, or stack some boxes up so they cast a shadow, etc. You've also got little mini snake monster things you can shoot out and then you view swaps to them, and you can run them through air vents and stuff and get to places your main character wouldn't normally fit, I think they can own enemies in gruesome ways also.

Oh, and did I mention you're an undead mobster back from the dead to get vengeance on the guys who killed you? Yeah, Jackie Estacado (the guy you play as) is not a nice guy. Plus, at the end of the day, its made by the guys who made Riddick, which was hands down one of the best FPS's I've played in years, so they've earnt the benefit of the doubt.

Well maybe it might be alright but I don't have a gheystation or xbox to play it on.

I can't recall a single part of that game that would even come close to mediocre. Maybe you just don't like good things?

couldnt work out where to go, wandered for ages and couldnt get anywhere

got bored with it and never finished it

So what you're saying is rather than it being a s*** game, you became impatient because you didn't know what to do?

Fair enough if you're saying "I didn't think much of the game", but to say "This game start out ok, and then became crap" is pretty unfair, given your reasons for not liking it.
