HELLO!
The game that started it all (big lans and internetz gaming), Quake! Anyway, some guys created a jorsome video with links that can be found at http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1388470. I'd make links but meh. It comes in a pretty huge size even for the medium quality video but its mainly for Quake fans!(read oldschoolers) Anyway, I know there are some Quake fans that would love this so I thought I'd link it here. |

The length of the movie is approximately 20 minutes and the size of it is fairly heavy. It comes in two flavours, a light weight version on 779Mb and a top notch quality version on 1,5Gb. oh my! |

that video didn't really compare to the q3 vids, especially those maps in space. they're awesome.

thx for the heads up pyth :D dag n def vids are the awesomeness! there are some really mad maneuvers in there, a testiment to the longevity of the mighty quake. but i gotta say.. even for a diehard quake fan... the old player model sure does look dated n blocky! not a problem of course in-game coz ya never get a good chance to look at it, but there was too much of it in the vid not at game speed. also, that re-texture job on dm2 looks arse. the original 'blue besser brick' texture was the l0re. :p

dag and deg still have nothing on reload. not long ago he played - bounced his opponent twice in mid-air, then rocket jumped up to him and killed him with the axe. haha. i dare say thats never been done before ever.

Even if it worked you'd still be saying the same thing. Probably not, I used to play the game relgiously and got so many kicks out of it, I'll appreciate anything to do with vanilla quake... Actually a Vanilla Quake CTF server would kick serious ass, with the grappling hook and all... It was the s*** on the old PowerUp server (my nick was joekool) and I remember a "freddo" from then too. A quake server wouldn't take up much bandwidth/resuorces, comeon Mr GA Admin Trog :) |

1st clan I was ever in, oh the memories. Dial up days into powerup rocked! I doubt we'll ever have the experience of something so new and unique in the gaming world again. I hope we do, but I doubt it. |

lol hi dRanged, i can feel the powerup love in this thread
yeah games are pretty much dead to me since back in the day basically spending all nighters on the net and at lans playing quake which makes me pine for a genuine sequel to quake and not the quake 2 sequels we've been having. of course it will never happen but a man can dream. |

yeh, CS was enjoyable at college because everyone played it, it was a lan, and cheating was kept to a minimum because we knew where people lived
