I was looking at wiki software to run on my home box last night to keep track of some of my own data and Fuzzy pointed me at this:

It's basically a single .html file with a stack of JavaScript that essentially lets you run a wiki in a single file off your own PC. It is very clever and looks pretty cool - a nice alternative to using plaintext files or Word documents to manage your own data!

Yeah it's pretty cool as you can keep it on a thumbdrive, or even mobile phone and use it on any PC.

If you're happy to run tomcat I recommend vqwiki or jspwiki. Both a quick and easy to setup, takes about 1 minute to deploy (just put the .war file in the webapps container and restart tomcat).

Noone would be silly enough to run Tomcat by choice though

plus it would destroy the point of the simplicity of the TiddyWiki

also, we run our own wiki at work, which works quite well, asp code with a wysiwyg editor and database back end for better searching

i was just talking to the guy that maintains it, and the guy next to him actually already runs tiddlywiki, hes quite happy with it
