It's not better, but nor is it as bad as most sequels seem to be.

I liked it.

It's awesome but way more f***ed up and depressing than the first.

Spoiler:
They basically just took the infected family member element to a new level.

My brother and I enjoyed it.
Sister and his GF wanted more of a Story Line.

Zombie movies dont usually contain much story, just gory.
On that count, it delivered.

I wouldn't pay to see it again, but I think it's worth seeing on the big screen.

I throughly enjoyed it. The infected rampage with an intensity even greater than in the first movie. It is true that the world in this one is even more bleak, but then again I don't think people go to these movies for a good news story.

I like how just when you thought it couldn't get any worse it keeps descending into even greater tragedy and despair.

There is a mega spoiler to be posted but I don't have the balls to post it.

I would rate it better than the first, just for the sheer intensity. One major plot weakness frustrated me but you will get to experience that too.

Spoiler:
Imogen Poots is hot.

The thing about the first one that was so good to me was the way Cillian's character dealt with s***, especially at the end. In spite of everything that was going down the movie was really about one man's return to his instincts to overcome it and protect his women. It was a positive element that drove the movie.
Spoiler:
28 Weeks Later is really the complete opposite given the actions of Robert Carlyle's character, which works out in an interesting way. You could say that in the first movie the character's instincts were to fight, while in this one they were flight, which led to the proliferation of the virus as opposed to the immediate survival of the human race.

Just got back from having seen it... thought it was f***ing insane! So intense. I was worried that they would make a really stupid commercial sequel to the first, but it was still quite classy, original and shocking.

3.5/5

Spoiler:
I really liked the way they had the balls to keep killing off all the main characters - right from the start I was thinking "I wasn't expecting that!"
