Many moons ago a mob called Millweed made a kickass little Windows front end application to the command line download tool wget. Their tool, WackGet, was awesome - except it was based on an old version of wget that didn't support downloading "large files" (files greater than 2.1GB in size).

Fortunately they were awesome enough to release the source code for their application, so we hacked on it a little bit and made a new version called WackGet v1.2.3, which supports Large Files. We've been recommending it for some time for users having problems resuming downloads from AusGamers.

Anyway, the point of all this is that I finally got around to bundling up the source code for it and put it up on this new AusGamers Open Source Projects page, which I hope to add to in the near future. If you're interested, head over and grab it - you'll need the source for both WackGet (the front end interface) and wget (the thing that does the actual downloading).

What other projects might we expect to see.

No idea! In the short term probably just random scripts or tools that I've hacked together and found useful.

As someone who has been coding in C for almost 11 years, I have absolutely no idea what is going on in that source code.
