i cant get my router/modem to work with my 360 Y_Y

its a tel$tra adsl modem, speedtouch 576 or 5x6 somthing like that
ive tried forwarding ports and everything to no avail, it just can't resolve an ip adress with the xbox, im tempted to set up ICS with one of my pc's and teh xbox but i doubt it will work. anyone been able to get around this?

Has someone played the demo yet?
