Mundine's foolish racism rant

BOXING champion Anthony Mundine opened his big mouth again last night with an outrageous racial attack on the game that made him a superstar.

Angry former players and officials last night lashed out at Anthony Mundine's latest claim that NSW is a racist rugby league state.

The Man's extraordinary attack on the game that made him a star comes just a week after Souths winger Nathan Merritt said he believed his Aboriginal heritage may have cost him a place in the City team to play Country.

Mundine's argument has gaping holes in it given his nephew Matthew has captained the NSW under-16s team for past two years.

Not even ARL indigenous development manager and former Dragons teammate Ricky Walford could support Mundine last night.

Like him or hate him as a boxer, I truely wish he would just shut the hell up and box.

seriously though Mundine is such a blatant attention whore. I can't believe the media keeps giving him free publicity on what are clearly well thought out inflamatory statements.

any publicity is good publicity in boxing.

the more people he can manage to get to dislike him, the more people wanna watch him fight and lose -> more money for mundine. It's actually good for boxing as he's a "villain" who everyone wants to see go down. Boxing needs those characters.
