The v2.0 release of Thunderbird, the Mozilla email client, has been released. You can nab it for Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux locally from AusGamers right now. |

I think this is one of the only programs I rarely ever update.
Really don't want to risk losing emails (yes I backup regularly). still haven't fixed the bug with deleting folders on an IMAP server yet Is that where you delete a remote folder through other means, but it doesn't disappear in Thunderbird? |

Whenever I try to delete the folder it comes up saying it doesn't exist, it's something to do with the deleted items/trash folder.
With IMAP when a folder will have sub folders your supposed to add a / to the end of it but since the deleted items folder is called "Trash" instead of "Trash/" it won't move the folder into it.. Or some s*** |

I think this is one of the only programs I rarely ever update.Just use IMAP, then you don't need to worry about backing up :) Set it to download your emails as well so you have a locally stored copy. Meh! I'm running version 1.5.0.10 (20070221), Auto update isn't picking the update up...I guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall :( Edit: Just uninstalled Thunderbird. Installed the latest version. Picked up my existing mailboxes and settings just fine. All of my IMAP accounts and my POP3 accounts and email ;) I like the new look too :) last edited by Twisted at 22:10:04 20/Apr/07 |

I haven't decided whether I want to even bother trying this yet, or if, like 1.5, Mail.app is just going to s*** all over it still. I'm too scared it'll just be an utter waste of my time.
Danm you Microsoft, not making Outlook 2007 for Mac. |
