I don't know, I'm a big fan of communism. Democracy is a joke, freedom is wasted on most of the idiots that have it.

could it be that your isp's proxy server was in the process of shutting down and could not service your request at that time and therefore has nothing to do with qgl?

Could be, could be.

But I had ~5 other tags open at the same time. So unless it shutdown/restarted in less that 2 seconds, the error was isolated to QGL.

Also, AFAIK 'This' refers to the server you're trying to connect to, not your server.

no, ara's saying it definitely, undeniably, most surely was your ISPs proxy server :)

Yeah? That sure sounds convenient for you but unfortunately that is wrong. That message is a standard message from squid proxy server, either you have a proxy server specified in your browser or your ISP redirects outgoing HTTP requests via their proxy server transparently to save some data usage.

Furthermore if you read down you will see that it is your ISP that runs the squid proxy in question.

Let me guess, your ISP is TPG?

Lol, noob @ reading error messages. I haven't had any problems ever over the last month. Bigpond at home, and Telstra Intranet at work.
