I'm one of the few people who thought the first RE movie was fantastic. Apocalypse was terrible. I'm not exactly sure how you can f*** up a zombie movie when you've got a decent budget, but the people behind the Apocalypse have managed it.

I don't even know what to think of this by the trailer.....

I vaguely remember hearing something about how this movie is supposed to be set after all of the games after everything has gone to s***, which I guess gives them a fair bit of artistic license to do whatever the hell they want.

I'd be inclined to agree, but the extremely s***ty voice acting ruins the atmosphere big-time. In my opinion, RE2 was king. 4 scenarios + hunk + tofu + unlockable weapons = massive bang4buck.

The first Resident Evil game was f***ing awesome. I remember s***ting myself in the first couple of minutes when that dog jumped thru the window. Didn't get round to playing the others because I sold my gheystation and bought a PC to play Quake. And the first movie was damn awesome as well, second one not so awesome.

The first Resident Evil game was great cos it pretty much defined the "survival horror" sub-genre of action/adventure game. But RE4 is undeniably a better actual game, technically and mechanically. I'm just hoping they keep all the control and interface improvements from RE4 when they go to RE5, and I hope they put the ability to drop s*** on the ground and come back and pick it back up later back in, cos that was one of the best things added in RE0.

Yeah, their numbering is kinda screwy, theres been Code: Veronica which never got a number and was kind of a side story, theres been Resident Evil Zero, and then theres been the remake of the first one. It doesn't make much sense though, cos RE4 is a side story itself anyway, it doesn't have much to do with the main RE storyline, so I dunno why it got a proper number. RE5 is meant to be a return to the main storyline though.

Yeah, Wesker is in Code Veronica. Hes in Resident Evil Zero as well. Wesker is badass, I want more Wesker.

And I just checked the cast for that new RE movie and it has Wesker in it! Maybe I'll go see it after all.

there is not one resident evil that ive played that i havent enjoyed, all of them at the time had the greatest gfxs, the scariest gameplay and best storylines. resident evil 4 had some of the best gfxs ever seen on a gamecube

RE4 is a rebirth of the series: Umbrella is dead, but Wesker still has his own plans.
Jack Krauser was Wesker's spy in the Los Illuminados, he found out about the Las Plagas. Lord Saddler made Krauser kidnap the president's daughter as a test of loyalty.
Ada Wong was sent by Wesker to get a Master Plaga sample from the Los Illuminados so Wesker can continue research on Bio Organic Weapons. Luis Sera was going to give Ada a sample in exchange for helping him escape. But Saddler killed Luis and took the sample. So Ada had to help Leon defeat Saddler to retrieve the sample.
