Hey funsters!

I wanna hook my PS2 up to my PC so I can play it thru my monitor. Can I use something like this to do it? I am a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff and if so is it easy to do?

Thanx

Capture analog video from S-Video to digital files

I'm assuming that means the S-Video plug in is input so yeah. The tuner should come with a little extension cable that allows you to stick your ps2 video plugs into one end and that will convert to S-Video on the other end. I used to do it with my old ass tv tuner.

Also, the tv card has to process the picture so it will introduce some lag into the game, probably better off getting a vga cable or something.

I'm looking at my ASUS X800 Pro card box and it says it has TV Out/Video In/Duel VGA. Does that video in option mean I could do it without buying something extra? The manual that comes with the card is complete ass and has nothing that can help.

^ Did you get that cable with your card? You just plug your ps2 cables into them and then switch to your AV/S-video channel and should work.

Do you have like a yellow input if so you just plug your yellow ps2 cable into that and start playing.

Yeah dude, I've got those cables but I have no idea how to get it to switch over to the make the PS2 come up on the screen. I spent a couple of hours this morning trying to figure it out but stuffed if I can find any options in the ATI control panel that lets me do it.

I installed some software that that came with the card that lets you do video editing and I was able to get the PS2 to show up in a small screen inside that program. But apart from that I can't find anywhere that lets me full screen the thing. Maybe I'm missing something when looking. Tried google as well but f***ed if I could find a single site that had some type of tutorial explaining how to do it.

Appreciate your help though.
