sounds like they just took half a kilo of cocain and 40 E tablets off the street

didn't realise you could get jailed for carrying "money"

Two 26-year-old men were each charged with goods in custody and granted conditional bail to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on March 19.

for having 800 grand.

what where the "Goods"?

Am i missing something here?

Not a deagle but a gold plated .357 magnum ( auto mag style).

It was a joint operation between NSW Police and the NSW Crime Commission and included officers from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad
Got blatant racism?

it looks like a deagle to me. I can make out 'Magnum Research' stamped on the side of it, MR make Deagles.

'Face Off' character 'Castor Troy' used 2 gold plated .45ACP Colt 1911's.

You can tell that it's "art-over-journalism" with the pic - the gun's been cocked back to open the chamber. Leaving it like that serves no practical purpose other than to look cool for a photo.

^ Isn't that what happens when a gun doesn't have a magazine in it?

Nope, you can insert and remove a magazine without pulling back on the slide - pretty much all semi autos are double-action these days anyway. You only pull back manually to preload the chamber, or in this instance, ensure emptying of any loaded chamber. In any event, you'd push back the slide - ready for action. I suppose you could just pull the slide back prior to inserting a loaded mag, release, and have the first round loaded..

Blah.

it's not racism, they are just working on an educated guess that most middle-eastern people selling drugs in organised syndicates are infact criminals.

Ok - something im good at - weapons ID!!! That is almost certainly a desert eagle mark XIX semi-auto single action .44 calibre pistol. It also comes in .50 or .357 but if you check down the side of the barrel you will see its fluted which tells you its definately an eagle - no flutes its a .50, 2 flutes down side and on top = .357. Also, if you cast your eyes to the "breather holes" on the magazine you'll see they run along the edge of the casing, where the .357 and .50 run towards the middle with a rigid groove on the outside. It also only holds 8 bullets.

f*** Castor Troy - what about "Big Chris aka 2 smoking barrels from Lock Stock and 2 smoking barrels" - it wasnt gold but he did a better job with it!

drugs

The 20-month investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and aided by more than 100 federal, state, local and foreign law enforcement agencies, has so far resulted in the seizure of approximately $45.2 million, 27,229 pounds of marijuana, 9,512 pounds of cocaine, 705 pounds of methamphetamine, 227 pounds of pure methamphetamine or "ice," and 11 pounds of heroin.

now thats a drug haul -_-

Art over journalism? It's not like they put chains on an old lady and made it looked like she was chained down in her office. I wouldn't be surprised if the gun was shown that way by the police.
