just ring some bike shops & ask... the 2006 cbr600 has a 180/55 zr17 rear tyre... what brand & specific type you get is dependant on the type of riding you plan to do. ie: really soft compound for mostly sports riding / maybe a dual compound for some touring or commuting.

when i had a cbr600 (97 model) i used mitchelin radials... can't remember the designator now. reasonable comprimise with a sports riding bias.
no point in posting what i paid for 'em coz it'd be hugely different now i imagine.

if ya wanna get an idea of exactly what is available... call tyres for bikes in albion... they usually have a full range of brands & types.

[edit] oh yeh... it might seem obvious but it warrants asking... have you checked the valve? :P

even though punctures aren't covered by warranty, a slow leak on a brand new vehicle's tyre should be

I'd either find and fix the leak or take it back to the dealer and stamp your foot

Call into Tyres for bikes at Albion (Hudson Road)

Edit: oh hey, demon already said this.

Real bikes are powered by high revving loud noises and a higher chance of death.

nah it isn't the valve i found 2 staples the big kind in the f***ing thing. so pissed i am looking at 310 big ones for a new tyre and fitting and balancing. the tyre is a dunlop sportmax awsome tyre to ride on, it is 280 bucks

the most expensive staples ever.

if the tread is good, plug the holes mate

or is there something so fundamentally different from motorbike tyres vs car tyres in this regard that I don't know about?
