The Force unleashed allows you to work for Darth and hunt down and kill the rest of the Jedi.

Anyone know whether it'll be on PC?

Here's a link to more info

gahh...
when yoda says there's only ever 2, a master and an apprentice... and we know that vader is the emperor's apprentice, and that yoda knows his s***...

Why?! HOW?!

ps... thanks to episodes 2 and 3, it seems that the emperors apprentice is a whiny bitch... so just imagine what being, in turn, the apprentice of the whiny bitch will be like.

speaking of whiny bitches...

they both got their hands chopped off.

luke skywalker loses his hand in empire strikes back when he finds out that big bad darth mr t vader is his father.

darth vader loses his in a battle in teh return of the jedi. he is all wires and machinery so it suggests he lost it in revenge of the sith or something.

not too sure on the exacts but i think im close...

kind of an error by yoda imo. there used to be thousands of sith hundreds of years before there was only the emperor and vader. now that the jedi are almost all dead why wouldnt vader and the emperor try to increase their ranks?

<sigh>

Think outside the box for a sec

There is always someone you refer to as Master <insert appropriate title here> until such time as they recognise and respect your skill and acknowledge it. From then on after it is oft still a simple display of respect (if you, yourself are worth anything)

Inevitably, in that situation, there will always someone who comes to you for advice - again, despite the fact that you may be recognised as a "Master" in your own right, remember this...

Complaints always go uphill
Ass kicking glows down

Vadar lost his right hand in episode 2.. In revenge of the sith after obi gave him the chop he still had his right hand (the mechanical one).

In the extended not-quite-canon(more commonly known as canon until Lucas decides his latest digitally rendered monstrosity is more gay) lore there was thousands of sith at one stage(the period of kotor as an example) until shortly after getting raped by the light side (yet again) their current most powerful dude decreed the "only two" thing as a way to cut down on self inflicted fatalities, in fighting and tall poppy syndrome.

That being said... the assumed state of affairs is more like a separate cell thing. So there could actually be thousands of dark masters and apprentices out there but each is a fixed unit of 2 and these units don't work together. Also bear in mind that there are plenty of exceptions to this rule, including(but not limited to) :-

- Jedi falls on his own behalf(no seduction)... He doesn't know union rules yet.
- At least one planet of force users whose standard method of learning necessitates a fall to the dark side.

So yeah... Yoda isn't wrong it's just that life is never that simple.

As to vader and the emperor increasing the ranks of the sith, two comments :-

a) extended lore said that they did... but always in very limited ways mainly because of comment b.
b) why bother? they have all the power and from their perspective have broken the back of every source of power. In the end the only thing that undid the emperor is he didn't forsee vader turning back to the light. Remember.. Extra force users == extra competition.

Also note that this backstory wasn't retrofitted. It actually pre-dated SW1 by about 5 years.

Oh and just when you thought it was safe to browse the intarweb...

Rule Of Two at Wookieepedia

Least i now know the "their current most powerful dude" was called "Darth Bane" and he was the last remaining sith at the time... just after the last sith war pre-palpatine.
