I have a client that will carry around a Dell 24" with him for demo'ing a retail mediapc but wants something that looks better than the original Dell box and packaging. Is there a place that makes those silver carry cases to size?

There is heaps of places, the best one is D'sign in Melbourne, excellent quality roadcases with a decent price. You would be looking at a few hundred to get one made.
I know there is places in brisbane that do them as well, SquarkyD might know, or I can find out for you. |

Check them out as well Grimy, local brisbane fella's. Im told they do good work and a reasonably priced. Although, there is a lot of premade stuff coming into AU atm from china that companys are going to start selling, like Brisbane Sound Hire for example. |

yeah those guys (blue cat case co/whatever else they are called) are the mob to talk to. Altho i wouldnt be suprised if theres a pre-fab case that would do the trick in the 'hardcase' brand. Also be aware a custom ATA case is going to weigh at least 5-7kg.

You could also look at getting a pelican case for that sort of thing too, not sure on where to get or cost, but f***ing great. Iv seen them drop one off a 3 story building into a barrel of water and it floated to the top (special water seal)

SKB's are the worst cases i've ever used and are hated by the entire industry. The lids bend easily and wont fit back on properly and the latches suck. They are however light, but alas still s***.
