Anyone caught in gridlock on the Gateway this morning at around 6am, and want to know why?

Pulled the truck up on top of the bridge, locked it and took the keys, slashed all left hand side tyres, jumped into a car and left.

Took me 45mins from Wynnum Rd to the top of the bridge.

HAHA that is awesome. THATS how you protest. But wtf does the sign say?

Dude should have done English instead of driving.

it got peoples attention, but that kind of behaviour isn't going to get people's support.

pretty stupid really.

now the owner has to pay for new tyres, the fine for abandoning his/her vehcile and possibly towing fees.

Apparently he was protesting Woolworths, the price of diesel, s***house money, etc, etc.

It's a cutthroat business that's for sure, everyone trying to undercut everyone else. s*** like this is bound to happen. makes me wonder why you would be an owner/driver. Especially when a truck/trailer combo can run you around $300,000.

what a retard protesting like that, the gateway is the main travel route for Truck drivers to get through brisbane and that mental giant probably put 3 or 4 more owner drivers out of buisness by making them late with there deliverys so instead of helping them they made it worse DIPs***..

Yeah, I'd say he would have taken all personal effects out of it as well.

Well apparently it ran out of the fuel and it wasn't a protest.

The reason it was graffitied was because it was about to be repossesed

Yeah, he 'ran out of fuel' on the Gateway....
Then his tyres somehow slashed themselves too!

Pretty unlucky guy.

First post, read much?

You dont Park accross 2 lanes, Have an Escape Vehicle, and go into hideing, if you just ran out of fuel.

I heard he climbed on the roof and aliens took him. I'm pretty sure this is the correct story

Ms Bennett, or the driver, face possible fines of up to $1500.

That time of month I guess

I took the gateway to work today going towards the airport at around 3:30 and it was all good. But then again if this was around 6am then it would've been all taken care of by then.

We had this stuffing up the roads and public transport in London yesterday. Crazy s*** - I am a big guy yet I was still getting floored by the wind.
