Anyway, my dad made me put a pool table up for him on Ebay... it's the first time I've sold anything.
Anyway there was a bunch of people that messaged on Ebay that wanted to grab it early (after 4 days there was 0 bids)... so being that he was moving we got a guy to come pick it up. Anyway, now someone has bid and we don't have the table. Is there anything I can do now to avoid a negative rating? It seems like I can't pull off the auction (??) and the only thing I can think of is to get a friend to put in a ridiculous bid and win it. There's only a 24 hours left, help would be appreciated. |

i'd just try and email the person, explaining the situation.
most people are pretty forgiving if your upfront with them. one trade i did i clearly f***ed up, i somehow managed to give the wrong account number twice (unknowingly) and the people didnt get their item before christmas, even though the auction ended three weeks before it. but i emailed them, explained the situation and now i am back up to 68 positive instead of 67 positive and one negative. just give it a go, that or get someone to bid like its going out of fashion. |

The actual buyer has agreed to put a massive bid on the pool table so he wins it.
If anyone overbids him at a $1000, they're dips***s :) |

If all else fails, just call/email the guy telling him that you have discovered a fault/damage with the table that you hadn't realised until you decided to move it (to pack up or somes***) and that you can no longer sell the item to him as it is not how you described it to be.

Dont you have to pay fees on the final bid price?

If you cannot complete your listing as planned, you can end your listing before the scheduled date. If there are bids on your item, you can cancel them. |

Ahhh I love you parabol!
Ended because the table was broken... the frame sustained signifcant damage while being moved out of the house *wink* :D |
