Agreed with trog, my next laptop might be a Macbook Pro to go with my iPhone in 2008 and my iTV as soon as my girlfriend is throughly convinced its needed and we can't live without one.

Steve was very sneaky and included on the sly a 802.11n compatible chipset in my macbook... Most impressed Steven, you get a gold star :)

from your link

Also the US has a law called the Sarbanes-Oxley Act which prohibits US companies from giving away an unadvertised new features of an already sold product without enduring some onerous accounting measures.

That means Apple must charge a sum to enable 802.11n draft.

also, finally an updated version of mac office is coming out later this year.

at present mac.office 2004 runs in powerpc emulation mode on the intel macs which makes it pretty sluggish. hopefully this is fixed in mac.office 2008 (the version that comes out later this year).

I'm quite a fan of the Mod Book, some crazy company took a Macbook and fitted it with a wacom tablet screen thingy and redid the housing for the thing. They threw a gps receiver in there too but its way out of my pricerange and I think a tablet would s*** me after time. Besides, I type faster that I write, and I write faster than I use handwriting recognition software...so by all accounts it woukd be a loss in productivity for me.

So I guess when I think about it more, it sucks.

Rosetta-emulated Office runs fine, even with hefty documents, no dramas. A bit slow to load, but that's the laptop hdd. Just add in a couple of gigs and forget about it.
