Does anyone find 2142 fun compared to bf2?

I haven't played BF2, but BF2142 is OK. I wouldn't buy it myself, I found it fairly bland and not too much fun beyond jumping on and having a quick blast at a friends place.

It's so small. Is this patch a commununity mod? I didn't think that EA knew how to make a patch that comes in under 500mb

I just want Punkbuster to catch the cheaty-haxors for a change =(

I love 2142, its grabbed me more than any Battlefield game since the original. I think its just the sci-fi setting appealling to my inner geek.
