OH MY GOD THAT WAS COOL.

so this morning about 8am i turn off park road onto coro drive inbound to make the annoying drive to work. get to where cribb street joins, and i see a police bike pull out into the middle of the road and signal us to stop.

He then waves these people through which consisted of:

4 other police bikes
2 cop cars
1 undercover car
1 4wd
AND A HIGH RISK PRISONER TRANSFER TRUCK

they ran manouevers along coro drive with the police bikes running a perimeter and the cars guarding the sides of the truck, when it came to the hale street offramp, the truck moved to block both lanes (im assuming so it couldnt get rammed from either side)

they used their indicators a lot but would indicate randomly in different directions, im also assuming to throw people off. i got to drive behind them for the entire way up untl i had to turn right onto the grey street bridge, when they went straight through, im assuming heading to the courts

but yeah, that made my day.

What would warrant that kind of protection? Like a crime lord/mafia boss?

Maybe that was the decoy group though - the real group was probably just some dudes in a taxi so the break-out gang would get confused.

all i can say was that it was f***ing cool

the manouvers they pulled were with utmost precision, in reasonably solid traffic. the bikes would move as mirror images of each other, crossing over in front of and behind the transfer truck while the 4wd would change lanes to give the best protection
