If you like chilled out, acoustic music, grab yourself the latest Damien Rice album 9. I recommend starting out with the first track named 9 Crimes, a duet that is soft and really powerful.

A mate also introduced me to Ray LaMontagne... his album Till the Sun Turns Black is f***ing awesome. Check out Lesson Learned which apparently appeared on the show One Tree Hill. It sounds like he has some Spanish influences and the album is pretty raw and acoustic and his voice is great.

The other album I'm listening to is a little rockier - What the Sea Wants the Sea Will Have by Sarah Blasko has really blown me away. I didn't really like her old stuff but this album is amazing. I quite like the tracks Showstopper and Hammer.

Sarah Blasko's first album is killer - The Overture & the Underscore. Second one is still growing on me, but it's pretty interesting.

Downloaded Damien Rice's album because there is an ad for it at every bloody tube station in London, so I thought I better know what all the fuss is about. Haven't had a good listen yet, but from what I have heard it's not too bad.
