well they said Pool would focus more on Europe now that they are out of the EPL chase, guess they are going to do it the hard way again after a soft group :)

united are representing in a big way, would be fkn awesome if they could take down the champions league too, been awhile since we've done well in europe. EPL is looking excellent too

Man U's European form hasn't been great - they lost 2 of their last 3 group games - including losing to Celtic! Completely dominating in the EPL though...

Some good games coming up. What's great is that you can catch some of them for free on regular TV over here. Others you have to have certain pay TV channels or go to a pub, but it's always great when an English team is involved. It's worked out well that all 4 English teams made it through to the round of 16, and two are from London. Should be some good viewing.

Liverpool must get an away goal at the Nou Camp if there is a chance IMO - im scared of Ronaldinho's trickery close to the 18 yard line.

Haha yeah isn't it insane? I was at the pub with some people and had one eye on the tv. I thought it was some sort of highlights packages as Barca put in 5 or something, until I realised it was happening LIVE. He got a standing ovation for a few minutes from the crowd for it.

And yeah I agree Mav, all the diving and acting really takes the enjoyment out of it for me.

Untill Ronaldino does something in a world cup (apart from a fluke free kick) he is nothing.

He has - the brilliant free kick against england in 02, that eventually knocked england out (2-1).. Seaman f***ed his back over that one if i remember correctly.

Also a week after he scored that brilliant goal he scored a free kick which was just as good, not by the acrobatics involved but by his trickery - just outside the 18 yard box with the wall in front, he belts it along the ground knowing the wall will jump, it went directly under the feet of the players in the wall and goes in bottom right, keeper had no chance - its on youtube somewhere

lol that free kick that went under the wall was just so clever.

I think the EPL has done alot to improve the whole diving and simulation problem this year, there are just a few serial divers that will never change, you know who you are! :)

Anyone play Fantasy EPL? I wouldn't mind seeing your lineup :)

Heardy I'll go opposite and say Drogba's goal was a touch better than FL's. Either way they were both hot.
