Even though I'm not a fan of the bumfights s***, that is pure pure ownage at its finest. Its completely obvious why he throws him off the show but then tries to spin it off like its the footage that was the reason ahahaha. He would've seen the tape before the show was taped SURELY.

The clip is pretty retarded anyway. It's funny, cos the kinda people that actually watch this s*** would actually believe that Phil hadn't seen the footage before the show started.

All you have to do is read the comments for the clip and your brain is pretty much guaranteed to melt with some of the naive crap posted on there :/

Misleading title, I dont think dr phil really got owned, the bumfights guy had plenty of opportunity to say s*** but just kept saying "im not done talking to you", i was waiting for the bumfights guy to do some "owning", it didnt eventuate.

Other than that, yeah Dr Phil is a hypocritical wank, "i wont publicise this although i will publicise me taking the moral highground by telling people i wont publicise this after showing them it."

Oh c'mon as if Dr Phil wouldn't have seen the footage beforehand... you'd have to be a moron to beleive he'd never viewed it before. The only reason he threw him off the show was because he grew a stash and cut a bald spot into his hair to take the piss out of him.

The bumfights guy most likely figured he'd pull something like that so he decided to make fun of Dr Phil in the cruelest way he could think of without having to say anything at all.

If that show went to air he's just given the guy great publicity anyway, I'm sure more people would watch it than usual when it gets out someone was thrown off the show and they all want to watch and find out why.

There's no way you'd have anyone on your show without knowing who the f*** they are. It's obvious he's done this just to chuck the guy off and look all repsonsible and s***. So glad I don't watch that stupid f***ing show.

Anyone with half a brain knows that it was a setup and that doc phil planned to kick him off straight away - how else would he have known that it was something that viewers should send their kids away for :P Unless dr phil doesnt even have a role in the production of the show (which is even worse, since that just makes him a puppeted face) he would of seen it and planned out everything that happened along with the producers. I think the guy did a good job given that he wasnt even given the opportunity to speak.

Im more interested in how that guy snuck his look into the studio heh he really did look like the bastard child of phil. The point about exploitation is quite valid too, if phil really was all about helping people he would do the show in his spare time and practice psych still for his crusts.

Just incase some of you haven't realised I never meant he pwned Dr Phil by what he said, it was solely the way he just totally took the piss out of the way he looks/dresses.

as someone said above, how the f*** would have he known that 'young viewers' (who the show is actually aimed at) shouldnt watch the clip before even watching it? and the security were up on stage almost instantly.

I bet 9 out of 10 'young viewers' who were unlucky enough to be watching the show with their parents said 'oh lol bumfights, this is where they....' - next he will invite the jackass crew and go 'omg you set such a bad example for teens! get off my show' tospot.


One thing i noticed in the clip was the guy from bumfights goes "we dont just sit there and give them our pocket change and go 'good luck'" - by that im assuming he means that he wont just donate to any homeless person who asks for it for nothing (confirmed by the next line) - just thought it was funny how after that he goes 'yea, we gave him $20!' .. which is pocket change to a multi millionaire :p

Also i wonder if they use big 'applause' signs in the show too

Anyway, i think how he has made multi millions is smart, because the way i see it is - he made millions, by almost donating money to people who have none. When you look @ the rates, they would be paid $20 for about 1-5 mins worth of work and at hrly rates thats $240-$1200/hr.. not bad going

The bumfight dude has morality issues for sure. So does Dr Phil, if he invites someone onto his show, no matter who they are, they are invited guests. They should not be kicked off the show unless they are causing problems. Dressing up as Dr.Phil, he could have done something about it before the show started. It was obvious that Dr.Phil did it as a sort of political move to gather support of his viewers to hopfully increase rating and whatnot.
He is a smart man, he would know that even a short amount of exposure like that would have hundreds of thousands of people watching it, and a portion of them would have been introduced to bumfights because of it.
He would also know that the personalities of the people who like to watch bumfights would most likly not watch Dr.Phil. So all he did was exploit the bumfight dude, much in the same way as the Bumfight dude exploits homeless people.

The thing nowdays with the intarwebz and sites like youtube, a good portion of people who would watch bumfights HAVE seen the cut from the show. I saw this on OT and theres loads of dodgy ppl on there and the thread was pretty large. I could gaurantee you its on many other forums out there.

Just because you use one medium (tv in this case) does not necessarily mean its going to stay put there in this age of the internet.

If you confine it to TV then sure your statement stands about Dr Phil having the upper hand, but because of the controvesy TONS of exposue has been given to bumfights over the net which would be more of a home to it than say TV.

I think the bumfights guy got more owned that Dr Phil in that video. I think they're both tossers and I'm not a fan of either, but the bumfights guy seemed genuinely shocked and pissed off when he got chucked off without being able to say his piece, he probably had all these great witty comebacks thought out in his head that he was just dying to use, and then he didn't get to use any of them. I'm sure it was all set up, I'm sure from the moment Dr Phil invited him onto the show the intention was to kick him off immediately, but obviously the bumfights guy wasn't privvy to that, so I'd say hes the real recipient of the ownage here.

The bumfight dude was pissed off, definately more pissed off then Dr Phil, who I think had full control of the situation. Its not like Dr Phil did a Kramer, so I really don't see how he got owned.

The bumfight dude is most likely a sociopath and I'd say Dr Phil knew exactly what he was doing and that's why it all looked staged. By building up the moment ('this is shocking, don't let your kids watch, blah blah blah') only to then deny the bumfight dude his 'moment of grandure', Dr Phil gave him the biggest slap in the face anyone could. And in my view he would be applauded by his peers.
