A new version of OpenOffice has been released; you can download it locally for Windows and Linux right here from AusGamers Files. Make the switch!

Have you made the switch?

I tried OO 2.0 for Mac about 6 months ago. It was the first application I was able to get consistently producing the Mac equivelant of a Windows BSOD.

Pretty much gave up on it after that.

I have used OO several times on several different machines, and apart from the slowness of it opening initially (java-based) it works great.

OO opens corrupted documents that word Blue Screens on.

I prefer it most of the time to the MS options.
