its the light that says "rear lights"

my friends mazda did that if one of the rear lights was blown/missing. It worked off the tail lights and the eye level brake light. If you can't fix it just remove the bulb from the dash if the rear lights are all working.

p.s. i owned a 1984 beige corona, natslovr will confirm this

it was a f***ing solid car.

Bought it with 11months rego for $800 and owned it for nearly 3 years, it had waaaaaaay too much rust to re-registger at that point, but I still manager to do a massive smoke show with it before I sold it LOLOL

yer, i had an old buddy with a corona as well

he never serviced it, and it still lasted a few years including the last 12 months driven with pretty much no brakes (clutch/gears/handbrake to stop)

It's probably a ballast resistor that's gone.

For the 4 years that i had mine that thing was immortal. No service, no petrol, no rubber on tyres. The only way it died was when i wrote it off in a car accident involving another Toyota.
