There hasn't been a fish thread on here for a while so I thought my new setup is a good excuse to start one.

Had a 3 foot tank setup with tropical fish for ages, but I recently cleaned it all out and changed it to a cichlid tank.

the plants have already been in there for longer than a week :P

they like chewing them off half way up the stem, but then i just re-plant them somewhere else

It's actually orange IRL (it's made out of clay). I hope it will get darker after it has been in the water for a while.

very nice african setup splash :D i like the moulded clay house :D i bet the cichlids do too! i'll post some pix of my new 2' tank tomorrow... now i have 3 tanks :P

i lost 2 clown loachs, a borneo sucker & a little bristlenose on the weekend to a massive white spot outbreak :/ damn large temperature swings. it's kinda wierd... i've never had a heap of fish die from white spot before... usually i see it & treat it & maybe one fish will die... but this time a heap died str8 up. oh wells... another 3 days to wait out the parasitic cycle & then i can buy some new fish! :D
