What sort of risk invovled in buying concert tickets online off ebay. apart from the obvious risk of being ripped off by some unscrupulous type, what is the risk of say the venue kicking you. I see on ebay a huge warning to people buying tickets that have been sold 'on' for a profit and on ticetek they have this:-

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Ticketek or the Seller, be resold at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be refused admission.

I am eager to buy some Robbie Williams tickets in a corporate gold box and they are pretty $$, (Xmas pressie for the wife) but am a bit concerned about wether or not they check stuff like original ownership ect..this or would that be a logistics nightmare. Any other dangers I haven't thought of?? I could always say they were a gift hey.

I bought tickets to the third Melbourne Pearl Jam show the other day off ebay, no problems there. The main thing to look out for is what sort of history they have (feedback wise) but that goes for anything you get off ebay...

There are always people on there trying to make money out of selling tickets but the ones I look out for (and they always pop up but never for very long) are the buy it nows that sell the tickets for the same price they bought them for originally because for whatever reason they can't make it and just want to recoup their money. You get a lot of those in the last few days before the show is on normally, epsecially on the last day.

Yeah go for positive feedback.

Ticketek cross reference credit card numbers and names/email etc with ebay to bust people. The sellers get a refund from ticketek, but the tickets are cancelled.

Ticketek will always email the seller to inform them the tickets have been cancelled, so it's up to the seller on ebay to contact the buyer and refund them.

If u follow...
