Ghana played some great games in the cup. So many of our players will be sorely missed. but a good result will do a world of good for the new blood.

beauchamp was a top playing when he was playing for central coast but he hasn't had much bundesliga action yet. I think he only played his first full game recently over there.

I didn't realise ghana was 11 spots ahead of Australia on the fifa rankings... didn't watch the match but from the sports reports it sounded like australia dominated most of the match.

Great game, we had enough chances to finish them. Atmosphere was fantastic - only 14,000 people there (ground holds 18,000 I think) but everyone is really close to the action. I was up the Australian end of the ground, which was unfortunately the opposite end to where the goals were scored.

Heard this morning there was talk of Aolisi taking a dive to get the penalty. From our end it looked like he got hacked, but again we were 100m from it so it's hard to say definately.

They have another game there against Denmark in February. Tickets are like £15, which is pretty good for an international match.

he didnt dive...... was watching it on the TV, they replayed it like 10 times - he definately got illegaly tackled. ref didnt even think twice - awarded the penalty instantly.

the aus team are probably one of the most honest teams around.. they were tackled soo many times illegaly and they didnt stay down or roll around like retards.. just hop back up and grab the penalty. The commentator actually mentioned that a few times during the match.
