Torchwood, a spin-off from the Doctor Who series, follows the adventures of a team of investigators as they use alien technology to solve crimes, both alien and human. This British sci-fi crime thriller, from Russell T Davies, follows the team as they delve into the unknown. They are fighting the impossible while keeping their everyday lives going back at home.

The cast includes John Barrowman as the enigmatic Captain Jack Harkness, the ever-watchful heart of the team guarding against the fragility of humankind. Eve Myles plays Gwen Cooper, initially an outsider whose first encounter with Torchwood sparks a burning curiosity to get to the truth and throws her into an unfamiliar but exciting world. Burn Gorman plays the raw but charming medic, Owen Harper, and Naoko Mori is Toshiko Sato, the team member who specialises in all things technical.

Anyone else been watching this show? I just checked out the first ep then and it seemed ok although a tad slow. It has the same kind of feel as Dr Who so if you don't like watching that type of stuff then don't bother grabbing this. There's also a couple of things a little different to what goes on in Dr Who. First there is swearing and secondly also sex. LOL. So yeah, a little bit more adult orientated.

Anyone who's watched all 4 eps that are out wanna tell us if it's worth watching the rest.

I sorta liked the first 3 episodes, the fourth episode just s***ted me off though. They do stupid stupid things that get them into trouble, and when there's an obvious solution they don't do it because they're so dumb! Captain Jack was awesome in Doctor Who, he was quirky and interesting, in this he just appears to be the boring leader. I'm going to watch 1 more episode in the hope that it will impress me, if it doesn't I'll just stick with Dr.Who.
