I've been out of gaming for a while and want to get my adrenaline and homophobia fix again. What's the cheapest/best way to purchase CS:S/HL2/TFC:S . I would want whichever package gives you the best value and allows me to play most of the source mods. I'm particularly excited by TF2.

Also I've got integrated video (Nforce 4?) which is a 6150. Is there enough grunt in it to play CS:S acceptably or do I need to upgrade?

steam is alot cheaper, but you cant buy TF Source yet i believe it coming out with Episode 2, therefore you have to wait until you can purchase Episode 2

you can get a multiplayer pack off steam for 20 bucks US. CS:S, HL2DM, DOD:S

Unlikly, while Garry's mod is based on the HL2:DM engine, it uses the HL2 Game files for all or most of the content.

Denny - I think everyone was far too good for nW ever - without a doubt we all had far too much skill to possibly waste hours doing that crap.

I was using 6600GT to play source and it was running fine. It died so I'm now using 7600GS. I had 512RAM and got a little choppy during action scenes but got more now it runs fine. :)

thanks Alizee, i think the 6150 is significantly worse than a 6600 of any calibre though so I might need to upgrade.

Looks like HL2 plus CS:S/TFC is the way to play it
