Paceman Shoaib Akhtar has protested his innocence after failing a drugs test for a banned anabolic steroid.

Shoaib and team-mate Mohammad Asif tested positive for nandrolone.

The only thing that's pissed me off about this is the way the English media are portraying it. A few weeks ago they were acting like Darrel Hair was the devil, and now the Poms bring up the case like Inzy is the bad guy for bringing the game into disrepute..and then they lump the drugs controversy on top of that.

Well he hasn't been taking anything illegal to straighten that arm of his, as there is a great picture in the paper today of his dodgy action...

Brett Lee should go lend him some support in this time of need, maybe even show him a few tricks on how to chuck without being caught.
