I've finally got around to plugging in my Dell 30" and it's not time to buy a video card which will support it. Basically I need an AGP video card with Dual-Link DVI.

Basically just want to make use of the 2560x1600 for desktop/photography work, and catch up on a few games that I've missed since Quake3 and BF1. So still have some credible gaming life to play BF2 and current games.

If anyone can suggest other places to look or what out of the above would best suit my needs. Obviously the 7800GS maybe in a different league but I cbf paying $569.00 if it's not worth the difference.

Get a new mobo and a PCIe video card :)

I'm trying to make this system last until Quad-core Pentiums are released and "Vista compatible" systems are more affordable. Hence i'm stuck with p4 3.0ghz, ata133 hard drives, AGP, DDR400. sigh...

Go the 7800GS (I got the BFG version)
Good card an you'd be amazed at how well it handles Shader 3.0 stuff and IMHO well worth the cost of putting off an upgrade.

I'd recommend getting a 7800gs. That thing is sex on an AGP slot, but I'd recommend getting it from MSY since they have it for $399.

$399 at MSY is for the 256mb card and i'm not sure if it has Dual Link.
