Dear QGL Users,

I'm looking for a WinXP Academic Version. I can find the upgrade version and was wondering if any of you kind QGL users know if it is possible to buy a stand alone Academic Version that dosnt require a previous copy of windows to upgrade from. If so, where from?

Also, if it can only be purchased in Hyper Team Monkey Force Upgrade Form Go, what is the deal with upgrading from a not-so-legit copy of windows? Is the best option for a fully legit windows (providing the owner of the Academic Version is an .. Academic :/ ) to purchase Win98se and upgrade from that?
Does anyone still sell Win98se?

Thankyou for spending your most important time reading this post.

@ UQ I thought you could only get MSDNAA versions if you were in the IT school?

edit: MSDNAA is the Microsoft Developer's Network Academic Alliance. It's a fancy name for how they provide (generally) free academic verisons to many popular MS products to get students addicated to the sweet, sweet Microsoft nectar.

Actually, you may be right trog. I thought it may have extended to Business and Science and other strands though

Basically Toll, call up QUT and find out. I get windows xp pro, windows server 2003, access, project, visio, visual studio .net 2005 and other expensive programs for free, and fully legit too.

and as trog said, addicted like smack.

Yeah I thought it was for IT students too. I can ask around for people who don't need their copy and give to you?

Im pretty sure MSDAA is just for IT students, as there was an email going around that was about if you were an Business/IT student and you weren't doing any IT subjects you couldnt acces MSDAA unless you has special permission.
