The Protector

His world shaped by ancient traditions, a young Thai fighter (Jaa) is called upon to defend his people and their honor after outsiders invade their home and destroy all that is sacred. Looks like it has some nice action but I just hope the whole filmed in Australia thing doesn't make it too cheesey.

Subbed DVD rips of this have been around for months, it has a different title in Thailand. The storyline and English acting is worse than any Jackie Chan film but a lot of the stunt scenes are just as entertaining as in Ong Bak. I'd advise watching only if you have the ability to fast forward though, because all the in-between drama really gets irritating pretty quick.

Not that you would know, because you havn't been watching the rips. :D

Yeah the movie in Thailand is called Tom Yong Goong. When i was there 6 months ago it must've just gotten released there on dvd because it was being advertised everywhere. While i was shopping at MBK in bangkok i saw it being screened on a massive tv in one of the shops. Some of the fight scenes were so awesome and so real i ended up purchasing a copy of it.

If you're after a storyline then dont bother it was rubbish and no where near comparable to the first ong bak. Though it has pretty much the same actors but it's not a sequal and is a different story altogether. The acting was hopeless as well. Fight scenes though, some of the best moves i've ever seen to date. All real and no bulls***.

The whole movie is about him trying to find his elephants! C'mon! Good fight scenes though and yeah ^ him fighting that big guy (who is also in fearless) was awesome! Also search for the title in youtube and you should find the crazy action scene where he breaks like 50 legs and arms.

Yeah i forgot what it was exactly called but it's Tom Yum Goong - and Opec if that means spicy prawn soup then that makes sense since that's the name of the restaurant that the baby elephant's mother gets chopped up and eaten in and obviously where a lot of ass kickery sets place. Oh spoiler too yay.
