I picked up one of these today - Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4

Anyway, it has onboard sound. The drivers require you install the Microsoft UAA (Universal Audio Architecture) Bus, first and a Realtek driver second.

I install the Microsoft bus - no errors come up.. but when i install the realtek i get a message - the microsoft bus must be install first..."

Ive reformated it, downloded driver update but this problem keeps on having. I have a feeling it could be because im running sp1 ... refuse sp2. Any ideas? Else im just going to have to pick up cheap PCI soundcard.

i gave in. im install SP2 now. hopefully this fixes the audio issue. The only other thing i could think is i have my own customize winxp preloaded with my serial, sata drivers and personal information... but i dont thinks it.
