my interest in september 11 is over. why couldn't they release it all straight away. those tapes contained nothing.

I think the fact that it takes almost 5 years to release something so insignificant just adds to teh suspicion and intrigue surrounding the events of September 11. That loose change video may have had a lot of paranoid propaganda, but it raised some good points. What does the US have to hide? If all the video, audio and other evidence had been released right away when the public was still obsessed with 9/11, I have a strong feeling the nerds of the world would have put a lot of work into cracking this mysteries behind 9/11 wide open.

I would have thought the main cause for the collapes would have been the severe damage to several main support systems that the structure relied on. Then the top of the building collapsing and pushing incredible amounts of weight onto the already weakened supports of the rest of the building caused it to collapes.

Im no structural engineer tho, just imo.

If you know anything about how the wtc was built, you would know it was built in three parts, and for it to collapse in a freefall motion is impossible. Don't ask me, I don't have a degree in physics, but the people who do attest to this.

It's important to understand the meaning of "alert" as opposed to "Combat ready." "On alert" means the plane is fueled, armed and ready to go, with pilots waiting in the ready room for a scramble order. "Combat Status" means a plane will be ready for combat, usually in 24 to 72 hours.

I also heard another audio to 911 rescue, a few weeks back from a couple of guy stucked a few floors above where the plane hit the building. Basically they were dead men as there was no way for them to escape. They were on the phone for about 10 minutes with the operator going from the stages of pleaing for the firemen to help to anger for not getting rescue to giving up. Then there was a scream and the audio went dead......... Was very sad indeed :(

you have a plane, fly top speed into a building (the plane wing span is only a little smaller than the width of the building) causing structual damage and a huge fireball. the fire which continued, weekened the steel enough to let one floor collapse, which caused a chain reaction and allowed the entire building to come down.

I still think it's a bit suss the way the buildings fell. I mean, if that's how buildings fall, why do people bother paying demolition experts to have controlled implosions when all you have to do is put a few sticks of dynamite and some aviation fuel up near the top and watch it fall beautifuly!

Also, being above where the planes hit would suck, therefore I think all floors over a certain height should have parachutes as standard.

Is that any coinkydink that the three that fell to the ground were insured for billions of dollars weeks prior while the pentagon which they still wanted, was barely touched. So many cameras around the pentagon, with supposedly some of the best security in the world, but not one frame of footage with the plane in it. Did anyone see the footage of the hole in the pentagon with the furniture and computer still perfectly intact beside the small hole? That would not be the case if such a plane hit it.

It is funny you know. I use to think the whole Pentagon plane thing was a bit suspect but after seeing that video it changed my mind. You see, I approached it with my mind open to other possibile explainations to why it appeared suspect not pre concieved synical notions that it was all orchistraded because initially it didn't seem right.

If you watch any of the footage of the towers getting hit you will see the inital damage to them does appear small. If you look at the shape of the whole it isn't a perfect plane template, but it is a pretty rough shape that is simular to the hole in the side of the pentagon but since the pentagon's outer walls are made of stone and the towers are made of glass and steel you have to expect the amount of physical impact damage to vary.

If you want to know why the Towers fell you can read all about it right here. It is an in depth write up by the Civil Engineering Dept of USyd, an institution that I hope you believe is outside the umbrella of influence of your perceived puppet masters.

The structural integrity of the World Trade Center depends on the closely spaced columns around the perimeter. Lightweight steel trusses span between the central elevator core and the perimeter columns on each floor. These trusses support the concrete slab of each floor and tie the perimeter columns to the core, preventing the columns from buckling outwards.

After the initial plane impacts, it appeared to most observers that the structures had been severely damaged, but not necessarily fatally.

It appears likely that the impact of the plane crash destroyed a significant number of perimeter columns on several floors of the building, severely weakening the entire system. Initially this was not enough to cause collapse.

However, as fire raged in the upper floors, the heat would have been gradually affecting the behaviour of the remaining material. As the planes had only recently taken off, the fire would have been initially fuelled by large volumes of jet fuel, which then ignited any combustible material in the building. While the fire would not have been hot enough to melt any of the steel, the strength of the steel drops markedly with prolonged exposure to fire, while the elastic modulus of the steel reduces (stiffness drops), increasing deflections.
World Trade Center collapse

Modern structures are designed to resist fire for a specific length of time. Safety features such as fire retarding materials and sprinkler systems help to contain fires, help extinguish flames, or prevent steel from being exposed to excessively high temperatures. This gives occupants time to escape and allow fire fighters to extinguish blazes, before the building is catastrophically damaged.

It is possible that the blaze, started by jet fuel and then engulfing the contents of the offices, in a highly confined area, generated fire conditions significantly more severe than those anticipated in a typical office fire. These conditions may have overcome the building's fire defences considerably faster than expected. It is likely that the water pipes that supplied the fire sprinklers were severed by the plane impact, and much of the fire protective material, designed to stop the steel from being heated and losing strength, was blown off by the blast at impact.

Eventually, the loss of strength and stiffness of the materials resulting from the fire, combined with the initial impact damage, would have caused a failure of the truss system supporting a floor, or the remaining perimeter columns, or even the internal core, or some combination. Failure of the flooring system would have subsequently allowed the perimeter columns to buckle outwards. Regardless of which of these possibilities actually occurred, it would have resulted in the complete collapse of at least one complete storey at the level of impact.

Once one storey collapsed all floors above would have begun to fall. The huge mass of falling structure would gain momentum, crushing the structurally intact floors below, resulting in catastrophic failure of the entire structure. While the columns at say level 50 were designed to carry the static load of 50 floors above, once one floor collapsed and the floors above started to fall, the dynamic load of 50 storeys above is very much greater, and the columns were almost instantly destroyed as each floor progressively "pancaked" to the ground.

However, their intel was solid, and they knew there was little to no chance that Iraq had WMD's as of '92, yet they still openly lied to their citizens, the US congress and to the UN to get the green light.
