F.E.A.R. Combat, the FREE, standalone multiplayer component of F.E.A.R., is due for release in the wee hours of tomorrow morning, Australian time. Unfortunately the counter on the official site is linked to your own system time, so if you're in Australia it shows as being available now - but it ain't. Be patient!

Patches for the original game and updated dedicated server software has been released in anticipation. Assuming the release goes as planned we'll have mirrors up immediately, including a torrent.

just making sure... but u need to have FEAR and this is just a updgrade to the game? Or is it stand alone?

It is a free, standalone game.

I believe it's stand alone, much like what Trackmania Nations was to Trackmania Sunrise.

What the f*** do I care, its free.

Anyways, the only reason I dont like starforce is because I have to get out the CD everytime I play, which f***ING ANNOYS THE s*** OUT OF ME. But this doesnt require a CD.
